Did you know that the breathtaking canopy walkways at Kakum National Park, Legon Botanical Gardens, and Kintampo Waterfalls were all created by one man? Kenneth Akufo Asare, a native of Akyem Maase in the Eastern region, is the mastermind behind these popular tourist attractions.

Kenneth’s journey began in an unexpected way. Originally a parrot trapper, he was asked to help some Canadians who were in Ghana. They taught him a new and better way to climb trees. From this experience, Kenneth learned how to build canopy walkways, and he has since become an expert in this field.

Thanks to Kenneth’s skills, he has built and maintained many canopy walkways not only in Ghana, but also abroad, including in Kwara State, Nigeria. His work has made these destinations even more exciting for visitors, allowing them to enjoy stunning views from high up in the treetops. Kenneth Akufo Asare truly is the man who brought the thrill of canopy walkways to life.
