Tragically, a man in his early 30s was allegedly poisoned to death at a naming ceremony in Ajumako Abrofoa, within the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region.

According to Kasapa News, the deceased, Kojo Aquaye, was invited by friends to the ceremony, which was followed by a party. After being served food and drinks in a separate room, he collapsed and began foaming at the mouth.

Aquaye was rushed to the Ajumako District Government Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Hospital staff revealed that his intestines were severely damaged, suggesting he consumed a poisonous substance.

Some residents claimed that Aquaye often stole belongings when drunk, leading to suspicions that he was poisoned to stop his actions.

The incident has been reported to the Ajumako District Police Command for investigation. Aquaye’s body has been taken to Etuafoa Mortuary for autopsy and preservation.
