Patience Jonathan, the wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan, recently spoke about her life after leaving the presidential villa. She said she feels younger now and wouldn’t want to return because the stress was overwhelming.

Speaking at a colloquium for the 60th anniversary of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, she shared her thoughts on public relations and economic transformation. She remarked, “The stress in Nigeria is too much. I wouldn’t go back to the villa. Can’t you see how young I look now?”

She also reflected on the 2015 presidential election, stating that she did not urge her husband to cling to power after losing to Muhammadu Buhari. She emphasized that they accepted the loss peacefully, saying, “We didn’t want any bloodshed. We are all one country.”
