NDC Unveils Strategic National Campaign Team for 2024 Elections

On 18th June 2024, the Functional Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) formed the National Campaign Team for the upcoming general elections. This decision followed extensive consultations and discussions.

The National Campaign Team will be led by Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the General Secretary, who will serve as the Campaign Coordinator. Supporting him are Dr. Joseph Yammin as Deputy Campaign Coordinator for regional campaigns, Richard Quashiga for parliamentary campaigns, and Chief Hamilton Nixon Biney for Special Operations. Other key members include Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer, George Opare Addo, the National Youth Organizer, Dr. Hanna Louisa Bisiw-Kotei, the National Women’s Organizer, and Alhaji Cole Younger, the National Zongo Caucus Coordinator.

The team also includes Prof. Joshua Alabi as the Head of the Flagbearer’s campaign, Joyce Bawa Mogtari as the Spokesperson, and Beatrice Annan as the Deputy Spokesperson. Alex Segbefia will lead the Running Mate’s Campaign, with James Agyenim Boateng and Eric Adjei serving as Spokesperson and Deputy Spokesperson, respectively. Additional members include Richard Anamoo from the Professionals Forum, Shine Gaveh from the Cadres Front, Dr. Nashiru Issahaku, Obuobia Darko-Opoku, and Dr. Mary Awusi.

This campaign team will operate under the guidance of a Campaign Steering Committee. The Steering Committee includes Johnson Asiedu Nketia as Chairman, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, Dr. Ato Forson, Rt. Hon. Doe Adjaho, Alhaji Hudu Yahaya, Kofi Totobi Quakyi, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, Dr. Kwabena Duffour, Betty Mould Iddrisu, Julius Debrah, Marrietta Brew, Dr. Valerie Sawyer, Sam Pee Yalley, and Alhaji Alhassan Ligbi.

The National Campaign Team and the Steering Committee will work under the leadership of the party’s flag-bearer, H.E. John Dramani Mahama. They will report to the Functional and National Executive Committees as they carry out their duties.
