Nana Asante Bediatuo, who has served as President Akufo-Addo’s Executive Secretary since 2017, has been appointed as an Ambassador-at-Large. This new role was conferred upon him at a ceremony held at Jubilee House on Monday, June 24.

During the same event, President Akufo-Addo also honoured nine newly appointed diplomats. These include three High Commissioners and five Ambassadors who will represent Ghana in different countries and international organizations.

The President emphasized their duty to enhance Ghana’s image globally and to strengthen bilateral relationships, attract investments, and advocate for Ghana’s interests abroad.

The appointments come at a crucial time, with the world recovering from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
