Angel Carbonu, President of the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), revealed challenges he encounters concerning school admissions and disciplinary matters during an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme.

He recounted a troubling incident where he was asked to secure admission for a student with a low aggregate score of 37 to Wesley Girls High School. Carbonu expressed discomfort with the request, deeming it inappropriate to seek admission with such a score.

In another instance, Carbonu mentioned a case where a student violated school rules and faced suspension. The student’s mother implored him to intervene using his position, a request he firmly rejected, advocating instead for following proper procedures.

Reflecting on these experiences, Carbonu commented on the challenges within society, emphasizing the need for improvement in the country.
