A 30-year-old man, Kwabena Mensah, was lynched by his friends in Kasoa Ofaakor, Central Region, following an argument over GH₵200. Kwabena and his friends, Asafo members of the Kasoa Odupong Ofaako Stool, had fined an estate developer GH₵7,000 for violating a noise ban. After collecting the fine, they demanded GH₵200 from another developer.

Kwabena confronted his friends about his share of the GH₵200, leading to a heated argument. Two of the attackers, identified as Beards and Badest Shatta, attacked Kwabena while they were drinking on Sunday night.

Witnesses tried to resuscitate Kwabena’s brother, Edem Saglo, who was also attacked. Despite efforts to save him, Kwabena died from his injuries after being taken to the hospital.
