Kwaku Agyeman Kwarteng Appointed Chair of Parliament’s New Economy Committee

Kwaku Agyeman Kwarteng, the Member of Parliament for Obuasi West, has been chosen to lead Parliament’s newly formed Economy Committee. The announcement was made by Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, highlighting Kwarteng’s capability in handling economic issues and his role as the Majority’s spokesperson on economic matters.

Afenyo-Markin emphasized the committee’s importance, noting it will play a pivotal role in parliamentary discussions. Kwarteng, who holds a Master’s degree in Economic Policy Management, previously served as Ghana’s finance spokesperson and chaired the Finance Committee before his new appointment.
