Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a 2024 flag bearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has reassured party leadership and supporters that he remains a committed member of the NPP, despite losing the flag bearer race last year.

At a birthday party in Accra on Monday, June 17, 2024, the Assin Central lawmaker clarified, “I have not resigned from the party.” He emphasized that he is not running as an independent candidate in the upcoming elections, even though some have urged him to do so.

In the presence of NPP Chairman Stephen Ayesu Ntim, Agyapong stressed the importance of unity within the party to secure victory in the elections. He stated, “I’m still an NPP member. No matter what happened during the primaries, we are all party people and it will be best for all of us to come together.”

Agyapong urged all party supporters to unite, saying, “The primary is over, the Vice President has won, and now there should be no division between Ken Agyapong supporters and the Vice President’s supporters. We are all one, let’s come together and win 2024.”
