Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, has announced his plan to eliminate wasteful government projects, such as the “One Village, One Dam” initiative. He intends to redirect the funds from these projects into more revenue-generating investments for the state.

Mahama emphasized that the current economic crisis demands strategic decisions, including reducing government spending. He criticized the current administration for failing to cut down on expenditures and focusing solely on increasing revenue.

“If given the political mandate, I will eliminate all those wasteful projects like One Village, One Dam. We need to redirect that money into more productive sectors to help the economy grow again,” Mahama stated.
