The Black Stars of Ghana have been placed in Group F for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. The draw, held in Johannesburg at SuperSport studios, placed Ghana alongside Angola, Sudan, and Niger.

Ghana, under coach Otto Addo, will compete against Sudan, led by former Black Stars manager Kwesi Appiah, who also serves as Asante Kotoko’s technical director and is on the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Council.

The winner of Group F will qualify directly for AFCON. The qualifiers start in September 2024, with 24 teams competing for spots among the final 48 contenders.

Ghana, a four-time AFCON champion, aims to end a 42-year title drought under Addo’s leadership, showing promise with recent victories in World Cup qualifiers. The 2025 AFCON will run from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, marking a significant event for the Black Stars.
