Flooding has devastated the Tain District Health Directorate in Nsawkaw, Bono Region, destroying drugs and other supplies.

Public Health Nurse Philip Appiah told Adom News that heavy rain on Monday caused the flood. The facility is situated between a blocked gutter and the River Nyinpine. When the river overflowed, water entered the building.

Appiah noted that such severe flooding is rare, with the last incident occurring three years ago.

Nutritional Nurse Maybel Annor mentioned that the rain began around 10:00 pm, initially appearing to be a normal shower. However, the floodwaters soon inundated their rooms, damaging personal belongings and medical supplies.

The staff is urgently requesting government assistance.
